The Revolutionary party was in power in Yomitan when the city was plunged into chaos. This party was associated with syndicates, public server corporations, non-working entrepreneurs, students who did not study, and even gangs of criminals, who were extirpated by Yomi even before he began his term.
As mentioned, Yomi simply turned Yomitan into a nice place by taking measures exactly opposite to those of the Revolutionary party, which sought more control and taxation, and was unanimously opposed to the process of state spending cuts and international trade opening that Yomi did, in particular the bilateral agreements with the United States, Japan and more recently Hong Kong and Taiwan.
The popularity of most candidates from Revolutionary party is less than two digits, Yomi could easily beat them. And that creates a lot of resentment, especially in the far-left wing of the party.
Yomi recently faced a massive defamation campaign because of a disaster that occurred in a public work. Opponents argued that the cause of the accident was the poor quality of the material used in the construction and the lack of technical criteria when selecting the companies wich participated in the consortium. Yomi proved judicially that the process flowed normally and that he was not tempted to make crony capitalism. A technical report made by a consultancy chosen by the Revolutionary party itself pointed out that the accident was caused by an execution error during the works, and the company responsible, in addition to reimbursing the cost, was penalized and excluded from the consortium.
Other attacks refer to the fact that Kurama, being very close to Yomi since always, was favored due receiving a "position of trust" job without proving his technical qualification. Not even Hoshiyomi and Tsukiyomi escaped the lie rain of the opposition party, which called they "symbols of this medieval anti-people and imperialist yankee government." They went to a test against the candidates appointed by the opposition, and Yomi's victory was overwhelming.
The fact is that the Revolutionary party is always demoralized and lives inside their safe space and media echo chamber. The narrative is now dominated by Yomi and Kurama, who have always been very clear in pointing out who wanted to do the common good.
The event which happened to Kurama was the trigger that Yomi needed to prove once and for all time that his opponents, besides being dishonest and liars were moral monsters. He dressed and went to the headquarters of the Revolutionary party, which is not far from there and, ironically, occupies one of the most expensive spaces in the city;
-Hello .. Good evening. My name is Yomi and I came here to talk to the opposition leader, Ryuichi Yuxi.
-Only a moment.
The secretary resumes contact and authorizes Yomi to go ahead. He takes the elevator and arrives to the leader's room quickly, entering without knocking, as a sticker in the door asks;
-Wow, if it's not you, Yomi. Sit down.
-Yes, Yuxi.
Yomi sits in a chair that puts him face to face with Yuxi;
-I want to talk with you, and I have a lot of questions to ask. I demand clear and short answers.
-Yomi, listen one thing: here I draw the rules. Private territory, private law.
-And I also set about following them or not, after all, my person, my rules.
- Now it's enough. What you want?
-One of my subordinates, Kurama, has suffered an attempted murder. He reported that one of the attackers wore a Party brooch, and that there was plenty of campaign material in that place. How do you intend to explain this?
Yomi throws photographs of the crime scene on Yuxi's desk, and he looks one by one;
-Hahaha, I owe you no explanation. Who guarantees me that it was not you or your beloved vassal who forced this?
Yomi gets irritated by Yuxi's provocation, and his hair floats slightly as a result of the elevation of her energy;
-Think about what you're going to do or say, Yomi. All is being recorded, there and there..-Yuxi points to cameras on the walls.
-You're not worth it to me, you're just a mere human being.
-But I can finish you right now!
-Tsc, some get carried away by fantasies ... but let's stop talking nothing, unlike your syndicate position that commands a horde of vagabonds and men, mostly unworthy, I have a lot to do later.
-Horseshit!!! You are being disrespec...
-Kurama, what's your purpose with him! What you get by killing him!- Yomi cuts off the conversation violently.
-I do not know him! How do you want me to answer you?
-Hm, interesting. You expect to win an election without even knowing who does my marketing and spreads my ideas, what a ridiculous tactic.
-Enough, Yomi! Out of my building before I ask my private security to remove you!
-Socialist with private security and locating one of the most expensive rooms of Yomitan ... you are the definition of what is hypocrisy! I can be rich without being hypocritical. Get out your corporate media echo chamber.
-Now, get out of here! You'll see, I'll torment your life, Yomi!
- Is this also being recorded? Hahahaha!!! - Yomi gives an indiscreet laugh as he leaves the room.
-Grrr, Get out of here, you bastard! We will go entrenched with guns in hand if necessary, to win the election!
-And with the recorder turned off? Hahahaha I'm awesome, be serious! I recommend you have some tea Stop being and ideological twat, and start looking at the facts.
-GET OUT!
The door of the hall closes in the face of Yomi, who draws back;
-You are nothing more than a propaganda piece of an ideological position, fool! Goebbels would love you! Willfully ignorant!
This was one of the rare times Yomi has had so much fun, such a cynical spectacle that he was able to record. Yes, Yomi had his own recorder in hand, and will use the recordings as evidence if any offense involves him.
Yomi leaves the sumptuous building where the headquarters of the revolutionary party is and returns to his post.
