The night finally came and everyone has gone to their bedrooms. As usual, Byakuya now spends the night in Yomi's building so he can sleep with Shiori, and during the day, he returns to his home in the countryside, which he has put for sale, as Shiori does not want to move out of the city core. Byakuya also wants to open a small jewelry store in downtown Yomitan and will count on Kurama to do that. Kurama will finally be able to sleep light-hearted after the troubled times he went through the previous day. His trip to the temple complex ended up being a mission to save Yomi, and by the time he was coming back to finally rest a bit, it was his judgment day.
Like Shuichi, Youko was very tired after spending so much energy during the judgment process, fighting the fake enemies and protecting Shuichi from all the threats he faced. Youko needs to rest too.
Botan understands that, and will not require anything from Youko in the bed other than his mere presence and some cuddling:
-Ahh my beloved fox...-Botan smiles, gently caressing Kurama's forehead.
-It seemed like an impossible dream... after all the trouble we passed by, now we have reasons to smile and keep evolving... -Kurama kisses Botan on the cheek. 
Botan takes a hair strand from Kurama and sniffs it:
-I know you feel so tense about Yomi, don't you?
-Yes, I am... I even want to apologize if, sometimes, it looks like that I have forgotten you...
-Oh, my fiery fox, no need to apologize, I understand that sometimes you are really focused on doing the right thing. -Botan smiles
-Do you... understand? - Kurama feels messy.
-Hahaha of curse my little puppet! I know Yomi is almost your father! Do not try to dodge the truth, you love him?- Botan faces him, making a funny face.
-Oh, well, yes, but...
-I have seen it coming, you will discard me, will not you? Haha, just kidding, I started to look at Yomi in a different way, he scared me in the beginning, but, over time, it turned out he's a good person. I suspected that you had a very long relationship, I really don't know anyone who has had such a long-term friendship like you do.
-Yes, Botan, everything you said is factually correct. I have debts with Yomi, he helped me a lot here on Earth, has provided me all the safety and support I would need... I know that now Youko has regretted what he has done in the past, even though it was the right thing to do back then.
-Well, as I said, forget the past... tomorrow, Yomi will be able to see everything as he used to be, and the best part, he will see how handsome you are!- Botan kisses Kurama.
Kurama keeps the kissing going, and in the other room, Shura chats with Yomi:
-Dad, have you ever seen how Kurama looks like?
-Not on his human form, I can only remember him as Youko, but it was a long time ago.
-And can you imagine how he looks like?
-It seems to me that he looks like Youko... I only noticed that he does not have the fox ears Youko has.
-Dad, you have almost hit this on target. He's not as tall as Youko, and has less muscle too!
-I figured it out some time ago. His hair texture also changes.
-And the color too, his hair is red!
-Red? That's interesting!
Yomi puts his sleepsuit and picks up Shura before laying down in the bed:
-Sleep well. I'm so anxious to see you with my own eyes when the time comes...
-Oh dad, I'm sooo different, you will enjoy it!
-Hahaha I'm sure I'll enjoy it, good night!
-Have a good night, dad!
Yomi lays shura down in the bed and turns off the lights. He goes to his bed and lays down as well. He gently presses his eyes with a finger, feeling the pressure:
-What a strange thing, Youko said it was in horrible condition, but it looks like to be in a reasonable condition if I account for the violent cut I suffered and all the elapsed time after that. I'll be able to, hopefully, check that tomorrow.
Yomi lays down facing up. The fact that the rear horn has been removed makes it much easier for him to sleep properly, and a special bed is no longer needed.
